The Cinematic Jane Austen
A book devoted to film renditions of Jane Austen's novels, co-authored by David Monaghan, Ariane Hudelet and John Wiltshire has just been published by McFarland. The table of contents, visible on-line (www.mcfarlandpub.com) suggests that The Cinematic Jane Austen: Essays on the Filmic Sensibility of the Novels (2009) will be useful for those reading her work and interpreting the film renditions. There is a website companion to the book (www.cinematicjaneausten.com).
