Melville at the Movies
Philippe Ramos's Capitaine Achab is the most recent adaptation of Herman Melville's Moby Dick (1851) for the Cinema. It won the International Critics Prize at the Festival of Locarno in 2007.
Gregory Peck starred as Captain Ahab in an earlier version of the novel produced for film by John Huston in 1956.
